- Use a rotary percussion hammer drill. Drill hole to correct size and depth.
- Clean dust from hole.
- Insert a chamfered stud in the hole. Mark the stud to indicate hole depth. Remove stud and check for dust accumulation. If dust is found on stud, go back to step 2.
- Insert capsule into hole.
- Screw stud halfway into nut, screw drive unit into stud/nut, assembly, secure drive unit into chuck of rotary percussion hammer drill. Break capsule with chamfered end of stud. Using rotary hammer drill, drive stud to bottom of hole, as indicated by mark of stud. Turn off immediately, If necessary, release chuck and remove rotary harmmer.
- Avoid disturbing stud, but hold drive unit with wrench. With another wrench turn nut clockwise to release friction lock. Remove drive unit.
- Allow resin to cure for specified time (see chart) before loading stud.
Storage Recommendations:
For maximum shelf life, Ultrabond Capsules should be stored in original packaging in a controlled environment: 50°F to 95°F, well-ventilated and dry. Shelf life of up to one (1) year is possible, but higher ambient temperatures and ultra-violet rays may affect resin and significantly reduce shelf life. As long as resin flows honey-like (not gelled) capsule should perform.
